Bug fix

Fixed a problem when retrieving gene identifiers (HGNC and UCSC 
identifiers both were returned, even though only one was selected) 
caused by addition of UCSC gene identifiers to Ensembl version 48.

NOTE: Because of the new data build, HUGO identifiers have been replaced by 
HGNC identifiers. GeneCruiser Web Service users should change from using 
HUGO identifier to HGNC_GENE. See our Web Services Specification for more

- Fixed a problem when trying to retrieve variations by location 
inside a variation. This only affected variations longer than two
nucleotides.
- Fixed a problem with validation of user inputs in the web application.
- Various small improvements and performance enhancements.

Fixed in this release:

Bug 1947 - Database key generation issue caused intermittent exceptions 
to be thrown by web application and web service.  Messages included "Could 
not synchronize database state with session", "Could not execute JDBC batch 
update".
